Job Description

A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Product Manager role. Our client, a leading medical device company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Develop comprehensive marketing plans for assigned products

2) Prepare regular product forecasts based on customer information and market analysis

3) Analyze and regularly report on product usage trends

4) Analyze, revise and coordinate with the Manufacturing team the necessary production forecasts for all market areas

5) Oversee traditional marketing deliverables such as business plans, pricing, product positioning, promotional strategies, life cycle plans and advising on product improvements and new product needs

6) Develop sales and marketing tactics to include but not limited to brochures, trade advertising, training manuals, show materials and other collateral materials with input from marketing and sales

7) Support sales education with updated materials and communications on an ongoing basis

8) Analyze and report on a regular basis market trends, sales and competitive information and its effect on the performance of the portfolio

9) Pursue product line extensions, labeling revisions, clinical studies and any other activities which would ultimately build the value of the product line and maximize product line earnings

10) Communicate with the sales force regarding product updates and availability, competitive activity, sales positioning, best practices and new product development updates

11) Develop rationale and make recommendations to management on pricing, manufacturing, packaging, distribution, promotion, market research, regulatory, legal and any issue which impacts product responsibility

12) Develop and expand technical knowledge necessary for product line management and customer interaction

13) Remain abreast of the market, the competition and the environment

14) Act as an information resource to all functional areas

15) Identify key competitors to understand and analyze the competitive market environment and act to position company as the preferred product supplier

16) Identify and propose new projects which will enhance the performance of the product line, broaden the offerings and maximize the product line earnings

17) Maintain active contact with key industry leaders and medical personnel regarding clinical research as it relates to current and future product requirements

18) Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product

19) Follow procedures for good clinical practices and design control when participating in new product development and clinical activities

20) Adhere to all applicable FDA regulations, international guidelines and company policies at all times

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in product management

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
