Quality Control Microbiologist

Job Description

One of our top clients is recruiting again! They are looking for a Quality Control Microbiologist for their facility. Interested job seekers should have work experience with a highly successful and well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer. An overview of the Quality Control Microbiologist’s responsibilities:

1) Perform routine preparation of samples and reagents used for testing analysis

2) Report and document results following established procedures

3) Prepare liquid and solid media

4) Participate in laboratory investigations of out-of-trend and specification results

5) Calibrate, operate and maintain analytical instrumentation for product testing, including routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

6) Contribute to a team setting within the laboratory and potentially with other work teams to increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, improve quality, and provide new product support

7) Ensure that personal training requirements are met and that training records are current

8) Handle multiple tasks concurrently and complete tasks in a timely manner

9) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality control
