Automation and Robotics Specialist

Job Description

Our client, a leading software company, is currently seeking an accomplished Automation and Robotics Specialist to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Develop and support small and large scale automation equipment solutions for business

2) Participate in all phases of the project including programming, design, installation, start-up support, training and future support

3) Provide design and implement expertise in the areas of automation, robotics, electrical and instrumentation for projects, including specifications, programming, simulations and commissioning

4) Provide input on equipment installation, total predictive and preventive maintenance and troubleshoot automation systems

5) Create and maintain company automation engineering drawings and documentation

6) Provide controls support and training for the Plant maintenance team

7) Maintain all equipment related and computer integration software to ensure all revisions are current

8) Provide leadership and troubleshooting expertise in the areas of automation, electrical and instrumentation in support of the plant

9) Configure, install and commission new and retrofitted platforms

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the software industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in engineering
