Job Description


Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is currently recruiting a Director of Business Development who will infuse the Business Development Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. 1) Identify, manage and execute opportunities to out-license company’s technology

2) Identify existing and potential company assets and technologies that are marketable

3) Develop and negotiate agreement terms with direction from executive management

4) Draft and formalize agreements with advice from legal counsel and executive management

5) Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate external opportunities for potential in-license

6) Draft and formalize agreements with advice from legal counsel and executive management

7) Work closely with the CSO and CBO to define vision and lead business development strategy

8) Asset in identifying, negotiating and closing out-licensing deals with global biotech, pharma, VC and academic institutions

10) Work with internal R&D, Clinical and Finance team to coordinate due diligence, facilitate internal and external communication and participate in negotiations

11) Collect market, business and technical info and develop business insights

12) Manage existing and new alliances post-deal closing


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
