Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare company, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. If you have the required experience and are up for a challenge, this could be a great opportunity for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Ensure the effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems

2) Diagnose materials handling equipment-related error conditions occurring in the distribution center and repairs appropriately

3) Oversee and provide assistance with any maintenance, modifications and system upgrade of materials handling equipment

4) Assess the efficiency of materials handling equipment and define necessary modifications

5) Manage the inventory of spare parts in a CMMS environment

6) Keep distribution center management apprised of escalating abnormal and critical situations and coordinate resolutions and repairs with outside professional maintenance

7) Work with equipment and software vendors on design specifications and improvements

8) Develop and solicit bids from vendors for maintenance, janitorial, snow removal, landscape and other contracts necessary to support all building and MHE systems

9) Oversee associate relation functions, including directing, supervising and developing a staff of Maintenance Support Specialists

10) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
