Job Description


We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the biotechnology industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Sales Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:


1) Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets assigned by the National Sales Manager

2) Conduct sales calls via phone and face-to-face customer meetings in order to achieve sales quotas

3) Provide quotes and pricing agreements to accounts and customers

4) Present and demonstrate the value propositions of company's columns and process media products to customers in R&D, process development and manufacturing industries

5) Develop and execute sales strategies and sales call pattern for the territory with key companies and customers

6) Utilize various tools to develop leads including the internet, company provided leads, newspapers, journals and scientific publications

7) Maintain a high level of product technical and application knowledge

8) Recognize opportunities within assigned territories for new business

9) Provide information, advise customers and follow up on all leads

10) Travel to customer sites, sales meetings, scientific conferences and other events as needed while adhering to the company’s expense policy

11) Analyze sales by account and product class on a quarterly basis to provide reports as requested by the Management

12) Provide sales forecasts to the Management

13) Maintain customer files, call history and purchase data for accounts utilizing contact management software

14) Gather, maintain and report on market trends and competitor information

15) Plan and implement seminars and other communication tools to generate leads and sales

16) Maintain a consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials and events

16) Implement marketing plan as applicable to sales territories

17) Perform other duties as assigned


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the biotechnology industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
