Job Description

A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Senior Director of Medical Communications and Publications role. Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Develop publication strategy, develop publication plans and implement publication-related projects demonstrating strong knowledge of therapeutic landscape

2) Lead the Data Dissemination team meetings and organize publication planning participants

3) Implement feedback into strategies to ensure publication plans are effective and efficient

4) Collaborate closely with the VP, Head of Clinical Medical Affairs and other key R&D and Commercial functional leads

5) Oversee and direct the content generation process for Medical Affairs written deliverables

6) Review all deliverables to ensure publications and presentations meet quality control standards and are balanced in content

7) Lead efforts to build awareness of publications and scientific communications to support internal strategic business decision-making

8) Oversee and direct Medical Review Committee process for medical materials

9) Lead and direct medical information congress presence

10) Liaise with external authors and internal contributors and manage publication specific meetings with contributors

11) Monitor and implement industry best practices

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in medical communications and publications

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
