Job Description


Our client, a leading medical device company, is currently recruiting a Chief Information Officer who will infuse the Information Technology Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. 1) Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development

2) Support the company's strategy through proper technology roadmap to ensure a stable infrastructure foundation and business systems that support the company’s strategic direction

3) Work in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Quality, Regulatory and HR as an advisor of technologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness

4) Stay abreast of technology trends and ensure that company is properly positioned to make use of technology to drive the company strategy

5) Understand the key processes across the organization and make technology recommendations to increase efficiency, improve processes and drive quality

6) Identify and act on areas where technology can improve the customer experience

7) Define and lead key IT-related projects

8) Analyze costs, value and risks of technology projects and investments to advise leadership and suggest actions

9) Ensure technology processes and systems comply with all applicable requirements, laws and regulations

10) Use data to drive improvements across the IT team, developing scalable processes and standards

11) Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations throughout company

12) Act as a good steward of company resources and ensure control of IT departmental investments and budgets while maintaining the security and privacy of systems and information

13) Manage IT vendors, contractors and service providers

14) Provide leadership to the IT Team in a fashion that supports company’s culture, mission and values


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in information technology management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
