Job Description

A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Environmental Monitoring Technician role. Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Set-up, maintain and perform various environmental monitoring related activities as required

2) Follow proper gowning practices for cleanroom environments

3) Follow procedures to collect and process environmental monitoring samples in a controlled manufacturing aseptic and non-aseptic cleanroom environment

4) Perform environmental monitoring for aseptic filling processes

5) Perform personnel monitoring for aseptic gown qualification

6) Perform cleanroom air flow velocity testing

7) Ability to read viable EM plates and clearly document results on relevant forms

8) Perform aseptic and relevant microbiological techniques such as microbial isolation, streak plate, Gram stain and bioburden testing

9) Verify collection of manufacturing equipment rinse water

10) Prepare media and agents for testing and manufacturing purposes

11) Operate EM equipment such as Climet Laser Particle Counter, Air IDEAL Sampler and Airdata Multimeter airflow velocity meter and verify that the equipment is within calibration prior to use

12) Carry out preventive maintenance of laboratory and testing equipment

13) Notify the Management of EM retest and any excursions and counts that exceed the defined alert and action limits and assist in EM investigations

14) Maintain laboratory and manufacturing quality control

15) Perform assigned sampling tasks carefully according to standard operating procedure and supervisor's instruction as per the daily environmental monitoring schedule

16) Ensure all work performed strictly adheres to cGMP

17) Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere and work flexible hours to support manufacturing operations.

18) Provide technical and administrative support for all activities to environmental monitoring, documentation and quality auditing

19) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in environmental monitoring

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
