Job Description
Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is currently recruiting a Director of Technical Accounting who will infuse the Technical Accounting Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. 1) Prepare and ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity of the company's financial statements and footnotes in accordance with the GAAP
2) Design and build-out of the SEC reporting structure, including implementation and assess need for an external reporting software solution
3) Assist with SOX compliance efforts and planning processes and the risk assessment meeting of internal controls over financial reporting
4) Work with the Finance Team to prepare and review GAAP related journal entries for stock based compensation, warrant and other financial instrument valuation and recording
5) Identify, research and draft technical memos on significant accounting pronouncements, complex accounting matters, company transactions and initiatives
6) Prepare, manage and file SEC forms required on an annual and quarterly basis
7) Facilitate and organize the necessary deliverables for external auditors to perform quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits.
8) Determine the appropriate accounting treatment and disclosures of complex transactions and new GAAP accounting standards
9) Work with the Accounting Team to issue consolidated level financial statements
10) Report to Global Financial Controller for the risks, concerns and all the financial records
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in accounting management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
