Job Description
A leading company in the biotechnology industry is currently seeking a Senior Medical Director to join their team. The role will be challenging but also highly rewarding and this leader will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Key duties include:
1) Develop safety monitoring and risk mitigation strategies for assigned products and work closely with Safety & PV leadership and cross-functional teams
2) Conduct signal detection activities, monitoring, evaluation, interpretation, management and communication of safety information
3) Lead the legend internal pipelines PV group, oversee all ongoing projects at clinical development stage
4) Chair SMT meetings for assigned projects
5) Provide safety input to documents for products in clinical development
6) Perform aggregate analysis and author signal evaluation reports for assigned projects
7) Author DSUR for assigned project
8) Manage drug safety content of Regulatory authorities responses and inquiries
9) Maintain high-level timelines and detailed timelines for all deliverables
10) Identify project risks with inputs from the cross-functional teams and support resolving issues
11) Support process improvement and functional trainings at departmental and company level
12) Ensure that any potential delays are fully mitigated to avoid any delays with full transparency to senior leadership
13) Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as all related healthcare laws and regulations
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the biotechnology industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in clinical management
