Job Description


A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Manager of Manufacturing Engineering role. Our client, a leading medical device company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:


1) Develop manufacturing strategies and communicate vision and direction related to technology, facilities and automated equipment to ensure that manufacturing operations provide a competitive advantage to production processes

2) Recruit, hire and train employees on manufacturing functions and conduct safety orientations and meetings to ensure that established policies and procedures are followed

3) Coordinate with the R&D Team for development of manufacturing methods, processes, tooling and molds necessary to produce new products

4) Review and implement engineering change notices as appropriate and update manufacturing documentation, including assembly work instruction and manuals

5) Utilize lean and six sigma methodology and tools and apply analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

6) Troubleshoot any production problems to ensure that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production

7) Provide effective report-outs and presentations to various audiences

8) Drive manufacturing performance by optimizing all production in the plant to meet schedules that allow for superior customer satisfaction and high plant efficiency by establishing and executing operating plans and objectives

9) Support audits, tours and investigations

10) Adhere to the quality management system and its processes to meet applicable regulatory requirements

11) Staff, manage, coach, motivate and assess performance of manufacturing engineers, technicians and supervisors by reviewing the performance plans and organizing necessary interventions for improvement

12) Maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth

13) Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization

14) Perform other duties as assigned


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in manufacturing engineering management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
