Job Description


A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Manufacturing Engineer role. Our client, a leading trucking company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:


1) Support research, design and the development of safe manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, welding processes and production equipment

2) Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of the facilities' property, buildings and equipment

3) Prepare and maintain work instructions, setup instructions, and other related process documentation for shop floor use

4) Support and may lead the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results

5) Design, develop and test and source and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for the safe manufacturing of truck bodies and components

6) Perform continuous improvement activities using lean tools for cost reduction, quality improvement, improved efficiency, and improved material flow

7) Prepare capital projects for new equipment and processes

8) Launch machines, processes, methods and tooling technologies with effectiveness

9) Document lessons learned and communicates among the Manufacturing Engineering discipline

10) Provide technical process expertise for plant and supplier quality issues

11) Assist the Quality Engineering with developing robust quality control plans

12) Assist with defect, rework, and scrap reduction related to the manufacturing processes

13) Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams

14) Perform other related duties as assigned


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the trucking industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in manufacturing engineering

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
