Job Description


We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the construction industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Project Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:


1) Control labor, cost and quality of the construction projects

2) Plan and assist in the coordination of the construction process, working with the owner, general contractors, engineers, architects and vendors

3) Manage project deadlines, milestones and coordination from start to finish

4) Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources

5) Select and coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project

6) Oversee performance of all trade contractors and review architectural and engineering drawings to

make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed

7) Participate in the coordination planning of materials, labor and deadlines

8) Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated

9) Assist in risk management assessments and strategies

10) Identify areas for development, training or coaching in coordination with the project manager, foreman and safety officer

11) Conduct annual performance evaluations of direct report

12) Oversee safety initiatives in accordance with company strategy, OSHA and local compliance agencies in coordination with the company safety officer and human resources representative

13) Must produce RFIs and any costs associated

14) Prepare, estimate and submit change orders in a timely manner

15) Create budget structure along with detail description as per cost code

16) Create schedule of values and monthly billings on a timely manner

17) Mitigate financial impact of unforeseen conditions of a project


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in project management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
