Job Description

Our client, a leading machinery company, is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Manager who will infuse the Supply Chain Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. 1) Develop accurate demand forecasts for items by utilizing a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insights gained by partnering with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance departments

2) Ensure consistent integration of the forecast with the customer insights and base business trends with the goal of reducing working capital and minimizing forecast error

3) Manage the existing Supply Chain Department

4) Review purchasing orders and the shipping quantities to the customer to maximize performance against internal and customer-driven goals

5) Achieve the monthly targets set for the supply chain-related KPIs, such as on-time-delivery, demand forecast accuracy and inventory turnover

6) Create and implement risk mitigation plans to ensure a smooth supply through the whole supply chain

7) Develop a material supply strategy to avoid market-related shortages

8) Analyze and modify key item-level system replenishment settings such as minimum ship quantity and shipment increment

9) Develop statistical safety stock strategy

10) Manage customer-specific systems and tools integration within the forecasting system

11) Act as the supply chain interface, by providing Sales and Operations teams with timely analysis, guidance, and decision-making to ensure that the supply chain is in the best position to execute the demand plan generated from the total operational forecast

12) Provide cross-functional leadership across departments to solve for demand-related issues caused by forecast error, demand constraints, unplanned promotional opportunities

13) Implement methods and solutions to maximize warehouse efficiency

14) Review and monitor the status of annual contracts

15) Analyze and adjust the company’s supplier base strategy where necessary

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the machinery industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in supply chain management
