Job Description


Our client, a leading distribution company, is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team. If you have the required experience and are up for a challenge, this could be a great opportunity for you. Responsibilities include:


1) Grow sales across all market segments

2) Formulate and execute strategies to achieve maximum sales volume for products and services while maintain gross profit margins

3) Lead marketing campaign know existing and new product categories

4) Cultivate productive and long-term relationships with key customers

5) Identify customer needs and provide reasonable solutions

6) Analyze market for trends and the activities of potential customers, competitors and product preferences

7) Recommend product improvements and identify new product opportunities

8) Maintain a professional image when working with customers

9) Ensure the best possible level of service to company’s dealer partners and customers

10) Assist with company trade shows and industry events

11) Understand factors influencing domestic and international business

12) Research and build lists of potential clients

13) Book appointments with the intention of conducting prospective client meetings and presenting

14) Write sales proposals for commercial evaluation

15) Deliver revenue objectives for the given territory

16) Direct marketing and sales activities to exceed assigned revenue objectives

17) Work effectively and efficiently to attain and exceed assigned quotas

18) Direct the development of short and long range plans to achieve objectives and recommend goals to higher management

19) Develop and review quarterly plans to meet and exceed revenue and achieve corporate objectives

20) Advise management on status and action required in connection with existing and potential sales opportunities and marketing and sales programs and recommend actions and solutions

21) Respond to RFQs and RFPs

22) Identify and leverage resources to achieve wins in multiple markets

23) Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners

24) Assist with the Sales Team with all aspects of the selling cycle, as needed

25) Direct customer engagements and identify needs and future business opportunities

26) Develop a go-to-market plan and strategy

27) Perform and report forecasting of sales and opportunities

28) Work cooperatively in a team effort with various internal and external resources to gain support for territorial clients specific needs and requirements


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the distribution industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management
