Job Description


Our client, a leading chemicals company, is currently seeking an ambitious Electrical Engineer to help lead their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a go-getter attitude and a drive to succeed. Responsibilities include:


1) Ensure that quality, food and environmental safety, hygiene and energy programs to achieve their respective intended outcomes by following all applicable procedures set forth by the company

2) Establish and maintain a hygienic work area to prevent possible contamination, mislabeling and adulteration of products

3) Report any potential risk and opportunities for improvement of quality, food and environmental safety, health, hygiene and energy programs to the Management

4) Provide leadership and direction in support of achieving compliance initiatives

5) Raise issues and concerns through appropriate supervision

6) Ensure that all required permits for work are accurate and in place

7) Conduct job safety review before work starts

8) Meet the plant reliability goals

9) Make recommendations based on a pareto of area interruption causes

10) Lead and implement equipment RCFAs are to be as required by Reliability engineers

11) Document the equipment RCFAs in the site repositories

12) Document all equipment RCFA action items

13) Review the effectiveness of RCA actions to prevent reoccurrence of availability issues

14) Facilitate and lead the RCM review teams

15) Assemble the relevant data for reviews

16) Participate in the selection of Plant personnel to participate in the reviews

17) Assist the review teams with the establishment of PPM tasks stemming from the studies

18) Ensure the RCM strategy is entered correctly into SAP

19) Review RCMs to ensure that they are value added

20) Work with the Operations Team to review the effectiveness of the PPM programs and reliability measures to mitigate chronic and acute availability detractors

21) Assist the maintenance organization to show improvement and reach with maintenance metrics

22) Determine PM strategies for electrical infrastructure

23) Study obsolescence and execute projects

24) Ensure the engineering standards codes are followed with new project installations

25) Manage the day-to-day activities of the electrical and instrument work team


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the chemicals industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in electrical engineering

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
