Job Description


Our client, a leading packaging company, is currently seeking an ambitious Senior Blow Mold Technician to help lead their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a go-getter attitude and a drive to succeed. Responsibilities include:


1) Support, comply and ensure complicity with all health and safety regulations, company's handbook, quality and environmental standards and all other company’s policies, procedures and safety requirements

2) Inform supervisors and line technicians of potential electrical and mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved

3) Understand and maintain high standards of tidiness and organization in line with good 5S practices

4) Promote and maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment and be responsible for proper material storage and waste disposal

5) Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic equipment

6) Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery, such as changes in performance, temperature, sounds and smells

7) Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximize availability

8) Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance procedures

9) Assist other personnel with technical troubleshooting

10) Help with maintaining company's required equipment performance and maintenance records

11) Ensure an effective interface and communication with other departmental staff is maintained

12) Perform functions in multiple areas and perform other duties, as required


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the packaging industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
