Job Description
Our client, a leading machinery and tools company, is currently seeking an accomplished Inside Sales Manager to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:
1) Represent company to customers in a professional and courteous manner
2) Act as a main interface between Customer Purchasing and Engineering departments
3) Enter sales and confirm on order status to customer in timely manner
4) Evaluate inventory availability, request transfers and purchase as needed for customer orders
5) Find sources, samples and technical information as requested by customers
6) Resolve issues with shipments, such as missing packing slips, short shipments and wrong parts between warehouse and customers
7) Generate quotes for customers and enter information to the internal system
8) Conduct follow-up on quotes, samples and orders, as needed
9) Partner with Business Development managers to develop and maintain existing client base and new clients
10) Visit customer sites with and independently of, the Business Development Manager, as needed
11) Perform cold calling within the branch territory
12) Oversee review of open orders to ensure on-time delivery to customers
13) Action past due invoices in tandem with the Business Development Manager
14) Interface with internal departments, including Quality Control, Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing and Warehouse departments as related to customer orders and needs
15) Provide customer documentation to request part numbers from the Engineering Team
16) Drive visual inventory and bin stock implementations
17) Review accounts with the Business Development Manager to identify areas of business that can be improved
18) Provide metrics and report to Branch manager, as required
19) Participate in corporate activities, such as ISO audits and physical inventory, as required
20) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the machinery and tools industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
