Job Description


Our client, a leading electronic manufacturing company, is currently recruiting a Director of Operations who will infuse the Operations Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a corporate culture that is known for its innovative and growth-oriented vision. Responsibilities include:


1) Direct production of electrical and electromechanical products, processing and distribution

2) Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning just in time

3) Review and direct technical and line staff to resolve production and processing problems

4) Hire, train, evaluate and manage personnel and resolve issues

5) Set and monitor product standards, examine samples of raw products and direct testing during processing to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality

6) Prepare and maintain operation and manufacturing reports

7) Develop and maintain effective manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs and image

8) Provide input to the development of product strategy, new packaging, research and development of new and emerging products by assessing market fit, feasibility, impact on process and quality before devoting resources to large scale production

9) Establish production as well as quality control standards and develop budget, cost controls and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of products ordered

10) Provide guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel

requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility, tooling and equipment needs

11) Ensure that all established costs, quality and delivery commitments are met

12) Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays

13) Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations

14) Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Operations Department through improvements and communication between support and business functions

15) Maintain positive relationships and work with vendors, customers and co-packers on products, materials and packing

16) Report finished goods creation and design and component inventory using deltek costpoint

17) Develop secondary goods channels and strategies to maximize component inventory shelf life and utility


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the electronic manufacturing industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in operations management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
