Job Description

A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Business Development Manager role. Our client, a leading machinery and tools company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Manage business development activities across assigned territory

2) Partner with Inside Sales and Account managers to develop sales strategies to meet goals

3) Identify new accounts, retain existing clients and develop sales within existing accounts

4) Represent the company in client meetings with integrity, professionalism and with expert knowledge of company’s products and services

5) Manage contract negotiations, quality complaints and introductions or referrals to other company’s business units

6) Provide product samples and marketing materials to clients

7) Partner with clients’ Engineering staff for new product designs or sustaining engineering issues

8) Work with internal Engineering and Procurement teams to respond to RFQs

9) Develop pricing strategies to meet client requests

10) Maintain excellent cold calling efforts to drive business into new accounts and territories

11) Report account and sales activities to the Management

12) Provide metrics and reporting tools to Branch managers

13) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the machinery and tools industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in business development

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
