Job Description
A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Production Supervisor role. Our client, a leading trucking company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:
1) Plan, organize and control a work group to meet production schedules
2) Maintain safe working conditions, safe work practices and good housekeeping in area of responsibility
3) Improve methods and processes to improve productivity, reduce costs and improve quality
4) Train, develop, instruct, motivate employees to achieve maximum efficiency
5) Understand all applicable company policies, standards and procedures and communicates
6) Recognize and discipline employees according to established procedures
7) Understand bottlenecks that limit production and take necessary corrective actions
8) Esure flow of materials to meet production needs
9) Ensure proper equipment and tools for workforce to complete tasks
10) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the trucking industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in production supervision
Compensation and Other Details
Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
