Job Description              


A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Truck Maintenance Manager role. Our client, a leading environmental services company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Ensure safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements

2) Manage effective utilization of vehicle assets

3) Manage fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met

4) Make sure that maintenance shops are adequately staffed and mechanics are properly trained

5) Ensure that vehicle management systems are effectively utilized

6) Assist in the budget process, as required

7) Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs

8) Oversee personnel needs of the department, including selecting, coaching, disciplining and training employees and evaluating employee performance

9) Provide input into termination, compensation and promotion decisions

10) Conduct, attend and contribute to periodic driver and safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees and promote maximum morale, productivity and efficiency

11) Provide training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner

12) Update and submit required reports in a timely manner

13) Perform other duties as assigned


Job Qualification              


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the environmental services industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
