The Work Mates program focuses on empowering participants to build confidence, develop practical employability skills, and achieve meaningful employment outcomes. It provides long-term and personalised employment coaching to youth and adults with an NDIS plan, and delivers tailored, hands-on support.

This role is based in Aitkenvale. This a casual position, perfect for someone wanting flexibility and balance without compromising on purpose.

What You'll Do:

• Support individuals to identify goals and overcome barriers
• Coach participants in resumes, job searching, and interview skills
• Deliver engaging, person-centred job readiness training
• Develop confidence, social skills, and workplace readiness
• Connect with employers and advocate for participant opportunities
• Track progress and maintain accurate, confidential records

About You:

• Genuinely passionate about supporting people with disability
• Great interpersonal skills and natural ability to build rapport
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adjust your style to suit different learners
• Naturally empathetic, patient, and able to connect with people from all walks of life
• Proactive and solutions-focused, always looking for ways to remove barriers and create opportunities

What You Bring:

• Certificate III (or higher) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Current Working with Children card (blue card) and NDIS Worker Screening (yellow card)
• NDIS Worker orientation module
• Current open driver's licence
