We’re looking for a Community Lead who is driven by making a meaningful difference, not only for participants, but for the Support Workers who deliver life-changing support every day.

This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on participant support with leadership, service coordination and operational responsibility. You’ll manage your own caseload of participants, supporting them to achieve their NDIS goals while providing guidance, mentoring and practical support to Support Workers to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services.

About the role

As a Community Lead, you’ll play an integral role in delivering exceptional community-based services across the Sunshine Coast.

You’ll manage your own caseload, building strong relationships with participants and their families while delivering person-centred support that helps individuals achieve their NDIS goals.

You’ll also coach and mentor Support Workers, providing guidance where required through day-to-day challenges, promoting best practice and building capability across the team.

Beyond frontline support, you’ll play a key role in coordinating services by maintaining accurate documentation, completing reporting requirements, supporting service administration and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the quality of care we provide.

Working collaboratively with participants, families and the wider team, you’ll help ensure supports are delivered safely, effectively and in line with participants’ goals and organisational standards.

About you

You’re an experienced community services professional who enjoys supporting both participants and colleagues. You lead by example, communicate with empathy and remain calm when navigating challenges.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Experience working in disability, community services or a similar sector.
• Experience managing a participant caseload.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor and Support Workers.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to person-centred practice and quality service delivery.
• A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• A current Open C Class Driver Licence.
• The ability to travel and work across the Sunshine Coast between Caloundra and Maroochydore.

Flexibility that supports our participants

This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), with your roster varying to meet participant needs. Some days may involve an earlier start and finish, while others may require a later start and finish. Flexibility is essential, as you’ll be supporting participants across the Sunshine Coast from Caloundra to Maroochydore.

While we provide planned rosters and work locations, flexibility is important as participant requirements, operational needs and funding arrangements can occasionally result in changes.
