An exciting new opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Talent Specialist to manage talent for the Leonora Operations.
This role offers a mix of site and Perth based, with Monday to Friday in the West Perth office one week and Tuesday to Friday based on site in Leonora every second week. Consideration may be given to a candidate who wishes to work more flexibly with the requirement for travel to site to engage with Hiring Managers/facilitate site visits and gain an understanding of the operations.
On a day-to-day basis the Senior Talent Specialist will be required to work closely with Hiring Managers across the Leonora Operations as well as external stakeholders. The work of the role allows for a degree of autonomy with support and engagement from the wider Human Resources team. You will have sound knowledge of relevant legislation, previous experience in a mining or heavy industry site environment and be passionate about diversity and inclusion. Working knowledge of LiveHire (or a similar talent platform) and previous experience engaging with industry, community and education is highly regarded.
A summary of role responsibilities include:
Partnering with Hiring Managers to provide an efficient and effective end-to-end recruitment process
Designing fit-for-purpose talent attraction strategies for current operations and new project resourcing requirements
Managing all sourcing channels and the Leonora Operations talent community
Developing and managing talent pools
Utilising networks and online platforms to engage and secure candidates in line with the St Barbara Values and role requirements
Assisting with talent sourcing strategies and implementing plans to increase the pipeline of talent for future business growth, e.g. University Vacation Programs, Graduate Development Programs, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, University and Community Scholarships
Managing relationships with agency suppliers
Planning and participating in industry activities
Assisting with salary benchmarking and identifying/reporting market trends.
