We are currently seeking a Data Entry Clerk - Borealis to join our Community Relations team in a Fixed Term - full time position at our Port Moresby Office. This is a Port Moresby based position on 5/2 roster. (Locals are encouraged to apply).

Reporting to the Community Relations Superintendent, the primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and data management support for the implementation and rollout of the Borealis system. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately digitising existing company records, scanning and uploading hard-copy documents, entering information into Borealis, maintaining data accuracy and completeness, and supporting the wider team throughout the Borealis training and implementation process.

The Opportunity

Technical Accountabilities

  • Support the implementation and rollout of the Borealis system across relevant business functions.
  •  Assist with the preparation, organisation, and migration of existing records into Borealis.
  • Undertake assigned Borealis module training and develop sufficient system knowledge to effectively perform the role.
  • Work closely with relevant team members to ensure information is correctly captured and maintained in the system.
  • Identify and report data gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, or errors during the migration process.

Scheduling Accountabilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely data entry into Borealis.
  • Meet assigned data migration and digitisation targets within agreed timelines.
  • Complete scanning and digitisation of allocated records on schedule.
  • Ensure documents are uploaded, classified, and filed promptly.
  • Complete mandatory Borealis module training within designated timeframes.
  • Support the timely launch and successful implementation of the Borealis system.

  • Collaborate effectively with Community Relations team members and other departments.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, and Departmental Teams.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Contribute positively to team objectives while working independently when required.

We would love to hear from you if you have​:

 Essential

  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Records Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in data entry, administration, records management, document control, or a similar role.
  • Experience working with electronic databases, document management systems, or other digital information systems.
  • Experience scanning, digitising, filing, and maintaining electronic and manual records.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately enter, verify, and manage large volumes of information.

Desirable

  •  Previous experience supporting system implementation or data migration projects.
  • Experience using records management or enterprise information systems.
  • Exposure to document digitisation projects in a mining, corporate, or industrial environment.
  • Understanding of electronic document control and records management practices.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.
