ICN Project Manager

Star Group is seeking a Project Manager who is currently working for an Electronic Security or BMCS organisation seeking to transition to a Tier 1 Electrical and Communications contractor that delivers Technology solutions.

Star has successfully designed and installed Integrated Coverge Networks (ICN) networks for several premium grade buildings in Sydney, some notable mentioned include:

• 1 Denison Street, North Sydney – HQ for Channel 9 (1 Denison North Sydney - Premium Grade Commercial Building)
• Quay Quarter Tower HQ for AMP, Dexus and Deloitte (Quay Quarter)
• Chifley Tower – HQ for UBS (Chifley)
• Health Translation Hub at UNSW (Health Translation Hub | The Future of Health)

📋 Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, resourcing, delivery, and close-out. 
• Managing an internal team and services subcontractors for the delivery of ICN and Technology-related projects
• Manage all aspects of health, safety, quality and compliance on-site.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee project budgets, procurement, and plant/equipment management.
• Ensure compliance with project documentation and contractual obligations.
• Prepare and submit regular project reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Become the ongoing account manager for your delivered projects, maintaining the ICN infrastructure and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience working on construction projects valued at $50 million or more.
• Strong experience managing ICT, Electronic Security or BMCS projects in the construction or post-sales integration environment.
• Understanding of Integrated Building Platforms
• Experience across structured cabling, access control, MQTT, BACnet/IP, Modbus, IP networking, CCTV, Wi-Fi, SCADA, VoIP, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. Essential 8, NIST, CIS-20).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
• Proven ability to lead project teams, manage site performance, and deliver outcomes.
• Knowledge of industrial relations, employment practices, and compliance on project sites.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
