We're looking for an experienced Service Electrician to join our team at Royal North Shore Hospital, taking ownership of day-to-day electrical maintenance to keep a critical healthcare facility running safely.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM)
  • RCD testing
  • Body/cardiac protection testing
  • Thermal scanning
  • Installing electrical and data communications works to a high standard
  • Fault-finding on electrical and data communications systems
  • Scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs
  • Liaising directly with hospital staff, clearly explaining the work undertaken
  • Completing job paperwork and compliance documentation on time
  • Working safely and adhering to site and company safety standards at all times

About you

  • Valid Electrical Licence and trade qualifications (essential)
  • Registered Communications and Data Cabler with endorsements (preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
  • Great communicator with solid customer service skills β€” comfortable working in a live hospital environment around staff and patients
  • Experience in a commercial environment, with a strong safety mindset
  • Team player who supports colleagues when needed
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities and tight deadlines without dropping quality
  • Valid driver's licence, you'll be driving a company service van between tasks/sites
