The Strategic Business Partner is a key role for SSI that supports our work in the community by contributing expertise and driving internal collaboration regarding systematic reviews, design, innovation, implementation, analytical thinking, project management, and a culture of continuous quality improvement and social impact.

The Strategic Business Partner will collaborate with SSI frontline managers, business units, and organisation leaders to:

  • conduct systematic reviews of programs and business processes to inform quality improvement and achieve efficiencies;
  • design innovative service models and processes by applying service design thinking;
  • lead the implementation of new programs, initiatives, and business processes;
  • contribute to SSI’s approach to demonstrating social and business impact; and problem solve systemic and/or critical issues.


The successful applicant will be a strong communicator with excellent negotiation and influencing skills. You will have substantial experience of conducting systemic reviews of social welfare programs and business processes. You will have a proven track record of collaborating to design new service delivery programs and business processes that have created a positive social impact. Your demonstrated skills in service design thinking, business process analysis and design will ensure you have great impact in this role.
