SSI’s Volunteer Program is part of the Community Engagement Unit. The Volunteer Program recruits, trains and matches volunteers, students and interns to roles that support individuals and families reach their potential in the wider community.
The Volunteer Program Resourcer will provide administrative support to the Volunteer Program through the effective and efficient management of volunteer recruitment and on boarding. The Volunteer Resourcer will act as SSI’s first contact point for members of the general public, community groups and corporates looking to or already engaged in volunteering. The Volunteer Resourcer will contribute the volunteer programs Engagement & Retention strategy through practical support. As the Volunteer Resourcer you will provide high quality recruitment support for all SSI volunteer, student placement and internship opportunities including the management of online advertising, match volunteer applicants’ skills, experiences and qualifications with appropriate volunteer opportunities within SSI; including the management of applications and phone screening activities.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications or industry experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing high volume recruitment activity
Working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities
Excellent organisational and time management to enable meeting competing demands
Excellent ability to learn new systems and complex processes
