Netball NSW is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Independent Chair of the Nominations Committee.

The role

This role is responsible for overseeing the functions of the Nominations Committee, namely in identifying candidates and assessing all nominations for director vacancies.

The Chair is responsible for ensuring that independent judgment is brought to guide the skills, competencies and experience required.

The board is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from candidates with a range of personal and professional skills including:

• Demonstrated experience at board or professional level with formal training in directorship/governance
• Past experience as Chair of Nominations Committee or selection panels preferred
• Strong understanding of governance requirements relating to the appointment and elections of board directors
• Experience in briefing board members on organisational and governance matters
• Knowledge of recruitment and appointment strategies and processes
• Experience providing insights into candidate behaviours, skills, suitably to roles
• AICD qualified (desirable)
