Ice Skating Australia Incorporated (ISA) is the governing body for the sport of Ice Skating in Australia, having organized the Australian Figure Skating Championships since 1931.

The role

As a key member of the board in a not-for-profit sports organisation, the Finance Board Director is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s financial health and ensuring its ongoing financial stability.

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Financial Oversight
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Strategic Input
• Compliance
• Financial Literacy
• Communication Skills
• Sustainability
• Ethical Conduct

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• Qualified CA/CPA
• Minimum five (5) years’ corporate experience in financial management as Treasurer/Finance Officer
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, audit requirements, financial governance and compliance obligations for not-for-profits
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software
