Special Olympics Australia's mission is to ensure that every individual with an intellectual disability and autism has the opportunity to participate in sport in an inclusive and supportive environment.
A dedicated network of volunteers and coaches facilitates accessible sports programs across communities in Australia.
The role
We are seeking suitably qualified and committed volunteers to join our national Board as Non-Executive Directors.
The Board plays a crucial role in governing the organisation, providing strategic direction, ensuring financial sustainability, and overseeing risk and compliance.
The board is seeking expressions of interest for three (3) director vacancies with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Financial and Risk Management – CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification preferred
- Sports Administration and Governance - Experience in sports organisations, coaching, athlete management, or policymaking
- Fundraising and Marketing – Expertise in sponsorships, donor engagement, or brand development.
