The sport of squash is entering into an exciting growth period leading into its addition to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Squash Australia seeks applications from individuals wanting to contribute to the growth and success of a national sporting organisation in the capacity of Appointed Director.


The Role

Squash Australia is seeking candidates with skill sets which will complement those of the current Board.

The following have been identified as desired skills required to help deliver the organisation’s strategy. Candidates must have deep expertise and experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Connections and influence at an international or national level of sport, particularly in relation to major events (such as the Olympics), or organisations like the IOC and AOC
  • Government advocacy and influence relating to grants, facilities and major events
  • Technology related to enhanced member experience, cyber and data security and the use of AI 

The following capabilities will also be highly regarded as part of the selection process:

  • Knowledge of high-performance pathways and development within a sporting environment
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Event management of sporting events, competitions and programs
