The role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our inclusive Adbri team in the position of Quarry Supervisor.

This full-time permanent role is based at our Penrose Quarry located on the Hume Highway at Paddys River NSW.

This is a day shift position working 6.00am – 2.30pm, although some occasional work on afternoon shift may be required.

As Quarry Supervisor, you will report directly to the Quarry Manager and play an integral role in the Quarry achieving its operational objectives, while ensuring site requirements

for compliance and safety are maintained. This will be achieved by effectively planning quarrying operations, whilst also focusing on safely and the reduction of our environmental impact.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quarry Manager in ensuring site-wide compliance with company policies and standards
  • Supervise sand plant operations and oversee crushing, screening, conveyor, and mobile equipment
  • Coordinate daily tasks and lead toolbox meetings to manage and support the day shift team
  • Plan and resource maintenance activities while minimizing production impact and improving cost-efficiency
  • Promote safety and quality culture through leadership, KPI tracking, and incident reporting

What you will need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a supervisory position in a manufacturing, mining, or production environment
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Surface Extraction Operations advantageous
  • Experience in Sand Washing, Dozer ripping, Crushing and Screening and Load and Haul operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Mobile plant experience/tickets desirable

Applicants with a Tier 2 Quarry Manager ticket will be highly regarded
