The Role

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the safe and reliable operation of the site's electrical and instrumentation systems. Through preventative maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement, you will help maximise plant availability and minimise downtime.

This hands-on position is suited to an experienced Electrician from a quarrying, mining or heavy industrial background who is looking to make a genuine impact on site performance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical maintenance activities across quarry plant and infrastructure
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to maximise asset reliability
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain production
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operational teams to optimise plant performance
  • Manage critical spare parts and maintenance records
  • Support capital projects, plant upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage and supervise contractors to ensure safe and efficient outcomes
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site standards
  • Mentor and support the development of team members and contractors

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Trade qualification as an Electrician (A-Grade or equivalent)
  • Experience within quarrying, mining or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong fault-finding, maintenance and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of crushing, screening and fixed plant equipment
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and deliver outcomes in a production environment
  • A strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

  • High Risk, Working at Heights or EWP tickets
  • Current LVR/CPR certification
  • Supervisory or leadership training
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Surface Operations (or willingness to obtain)
