We are now excited to open applications for the role of Strategy & Planning Manager. A 6-month contract is available starting mid-January.

 

Belron NZ has an ambitious growth plan and following successful delivery of the first two years of growth and transformation, the business is seeking a strategic leader with the energy, passion and drive to play a lead role in the development and delivery of the strategy and planning needs to deliver on the next phase of growth. 

 

Specifically, this exciting role will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating the development of a strategic plan including the key initiatives to deliver and sustain the purpose and ambition of Belron NZ
  • Developing and embedding a framework for the strategic and business planning process, linking purpose, ambition and planning for Belron NZ
  • Supporting the successful facilitation of the ELT / NLT strategy days to gain alignment and engagement in the long term vision
  • Facilitating the development of strategic analysis and environmental scans on a periodic basis with other functional specialists across Belron NZ
  • Reviewing alignment of all components of the Belron NZ business model, from customer propositions through to operating model and profitability
  • Developing the key priorities for the business and embedding these into the annual business plan
  • Performing strategic reviews that analyse the long-term effectiveness of Belron NZ at achieving its long-term goals and objectives

 

The successful person will combine intellectual capability with the ability to engage meaningfully and authentically with people throughout the business to produce the best outcomes from the organisation’s collective knowledge and experience.


This opportunity will see you:

  • Set up the strategy framework
  • Support the final stages of development of the 3-year strategy
  • Develop a tracking framework
  • Support the development of the Laser strategy
  • Lead the development of business case for a new service line


As a strategic thinker, with ability to think 'outside the box' and share relevant actionable thinking with colleagues, our ideal candidate has proven ability in taking responsibility, initiating activities, prioritising and delivering successful outcomes on time and within agreed budgets, using appropriate techniques.

 

Key skillset & experience should include:

  • Project Management skills to engage and inform stakeholders throughout the development journey to ensure the best thinking is included and that all relevant people are informed
  • The intellectual capacity to analyse strategic issues, developing plans that engage and inspire others
  • The skills to partner effectively with senior leaders, committees, and (external) consultants to support execution of key initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information in a simple form for discussion and decision making
  • Experience of facilitating workshops with senior leadership to achieve agreed outcomes
  • High level skills in presentations and reporting, Powerpoint, writing Business Papers and preparing templates and documents

 

Reporting directly to the Strategy & Finance Director, this role will see you work with an excellent finance team and engage across the broader business in a motivating and strategic fashion. Stakeholder engagement is crucial, and you will have excellent opportunities to engage with the Senior Leadership Team as you facilitate the Belron NZ Strategic Planning Process.
