Tow Truck Driver

The Opportunity

Smart AVR is seeking an experienced and reliable 3-Car Carrier Truck Driver to join our growing operation, based at ACM on Camp Road, Broadmeadows.

If you live in Melbourne’s northern or western suburbs, this role could be ideal for you, offering a convenient Broadmeadows base and regular runs across the city.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys consistent runs, structured working hours and clear targets.

The role involves collecting and transporting vehicles from auction locations across Melbourne. Vehicles will be forklifted on and off the carrier, allowing you to focus on safe and efficient transportation rather than loading and unloading vehicles yourself.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible for completing regular vehicle collection runs from four key auction locations:

• Tullamarine
•  Altona
•  Laverton
• Cranbourne

The expected workload is approximately 200 vehicles per month, with the successful driver taking ownership of completing their allocated runs efficiently and safely.

• Safely collect and transport vehicles from auction sites across Melbourne
• Complete scheduled runs efficiently and work towards daily and monthly collection targets
• Carry out vehicle and truck checks before and after each run
• Take care when transporting customer vehicles and maintain a high standard of service
• Communicate professionally with auction sites, customers, the Business Development Manager and the Smart AVR team
• Maintain accurate collection, delivery and run records
• Follow all road safety, fatigue-management and company procedures

About You

• A current MR licence or higher
• Truck-driving experience, preferably with vehicle transporters or similar
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Comfortable working independently
• Organised, proactive and able to work towards daily and monthly targets
• Someone who enjoys set routes and a consistent style of work
• Careful with customer vehicles and committed to maintaining a high standard of service
• Able to communicate professionally with auction sites, customers and the Smart AVR team
