Workshop & Fleet Manager – Keep Perth Moving with Us!

We’re SkyBus — and we keep cities moving. Now we’re looking for a hands‑on Workshop & Fleet Manager to lead our Perth depot and keep our fleet in top shape, every day.

If you’re a natural leader with deep mechanical knowledge and a passion for keeping heavy vehicles in top shape, this is your moment to step into a multifaceted role— hands‑on technician, leader and administrator—that plays a critical part in the operation’s success.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the go‑to person for all things fleet and workshop, making sure our buses are safe, reliable and ready to roll. Your days will include:

  • Leading and supporting a skilled workshop team (including apprentices)
  • Managing performance, coaching your crew and handling escalations
  • Overseeing defect repairs, preventative maintenance and fleet readiness
  • Working closely with repairers, insurers and internal teams to keep things moving
  • Ensuring compliance with all inspections, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and securing great service agreements
  • Keeping accurate service, maintenance and compliance records
  • Managing stores, inventory and secondary assets
  • Supporting environmental performance and fleet improvement initiatives
  • Helping integrate tech like CCTV, comms devices and fleet monitoring systems

This role is all about teamwork, problem‑solving and staying one step ahead.

What you’ll bring

  • Trade qualification (Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
  • Solid experience maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles (bus or truck)
  • MR licence (if you’ve got it great but we can support you to achieve); HR licence a big plus
  • Forklift licence (nice to have)
  • Strong leadership skills — you know how to get the best out of a team
  • Confident communicator with great decision‑making skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset

Why join us?

Because you’ll be part of a team that values safety, reliability and people. You’ll have the autonomy to lead your workshop your way, backed by a company that invests in its fleet, its technology and its people.

If you’re ready to take the wheel and help shape the future of our Perth operations, we’d love to hear from you.
