The opportunity:

SkyBus, powered by Kinetic, are proud to have been awarded the contract to operate critical airside and landside bus services at Sydney Airport, marking the expansion of our iconic brand into NSW. 

With a strong track record in delivering safe, clean, and reliable airport, urban, school, and charter bus services, Skybus and Kinetic’s success is driven by teams dedicated to excellence. Our Maintenance team is critical to this success – ensuring our fleet runs at peak performance through high quality servicing and maintenance.

With this exciting new chapter, we are seeking a Workshop Manager to lead a team of Mechanics at our Sydney Airport Workshop. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, motivating a team of skilled mechanics, and championing continuous improvement across all workshop practices.

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum Medium Rigid (MR) licence.
  •  Proven ability in managing workshop staff as well as influencing and creating a positive work culture.
  • Strong computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) with the ability to learn our in-house systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC)
