Skill Hire, in partnership with our valued host employer, is offering an exciting opportunity to begin your career as a Surface Preparation & Coatings Application Trainee. You’ll work alongside a major construction team on one of the largest industrial projects in Karratha, Western Australia.
This traineeship is offered under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 and is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

About the Role
Position: Surface Preparation & Coatings Application Trainee
Location: Karratha (Residential position – FIFO applicants will not be considered)
Additional Training Requirements: Please note, you will be required to attend Face to Face training throughout this traineeship undertaken in Perth.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills in industrial surface preparation and coatings application, including:
· Preparing surfaces for coating (cleaning, blasting, priming)
· Applying protective coatings to industrial structures
· Learning about safety standards and quality control
· General support and maintenance tasks
