Skill Hire are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our team as a Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic Apprentice. If you are passionate about working in the manufacturing and engineering industry, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Plant Mechanic Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills, including assembly, commissioning, servicing, and fault diagnostics of small to large machinery and much more. This is a hands-on role that will see you gain valuable experience in the field.
The successful applicant will be enrolled into MEM31419 – Certificate III Engineering – Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic - (Mobile Plant Mechanic) with full training, uniforms, PPE, and mentoring provided to ensure your success!
Location: Henderson Industrial Precinct, WA
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 6AM-4:30PM and Saturdays as requested with free onsite parking.
Wages:
Junior Apprentice:
• 1st Year Apprentice - $19.19
• 2nd Year Apprentice - $22.68
• 3rd Year Apprentice - $26.17
• 4th Year Apprentice - $30.70
Adult Apprentice:
(21 years old+ at Commencement of Apprenticeship)
• 1st Year 3rd Year Apprentice - $26.17
• 4th Year Apprentice - $30.70

Requirements of the role:
• Current WA Driver's License or working towards
• Proven work history within the trade and/or industry
• Strong safety awareness
• Willingness to work long days, including weekends if needed
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical/drug and alcohol screening
• Current enrollment as apprentice in Certificate III in Engineering – Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic (Mobile Plant)
As a Plant Mechanic Apprentice, you will be responsible for:
• Fault Diagnostics
• Manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning of mobile and fixed plant
• Preventative maintenance and servicing
• Maintaining equipment to meet quality standards
• Working with the supervisor to prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and procedures
• Following OHS policies and procedures
• Completing other tasks as requested by management
• Operating workshop machines
• Using hand and power tools
