About the role
Our Patient Services team is responsible for liaising with medical specialists, GPs, patients and members of the general public; assisting with everything from general enquiries to the co-ordination of bookings over the telephone and via email.
In the role of Patient Services Officer you will be the first point of contact for people choosing our company and therefore can make or break our reputation hence a welcoming, professional and accurate approach is key.
Our Patient Services office is now located in the suburb of Innaloo within the complex that houses Westfield Innaloo Shopping Centre, Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse etc. Convenient car parking and public transport options are available on site.
This key department of our business is growing and we have multiple new positions available to support this expansion.
To be considered for this position, we expect you to have:
- An understanding that all communication is via the telephone & email with no face to face customer interaction
- Experience within or at a minimum, an interest in, the health and medical field
- A consistent Patients First focus
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A polite phone manner
- A high degree of computer literacy
- A keen attention to detail
- A warm approach with the ability to converse with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
This is a full time position working a 37.5 hour week.
Due to the nature of the position, flexibility is key as shift start and finish times will be variable and include weekend shifts. Currently the department operates between 07.45am and 5.15pm and hence 7.5hr shifts are worked within these hours. Shifts are rotated amongst the team so that everyone can enjoy a variety of working hours.
