Our Duncraig branch delivers General X-ray, Dental/OPG, CT, Mammography, MRI, Ultrasound, Doppler, FNA Biopsy, Fluoroscopy, Facet Joint Injection, Lumbar Nerve Root Sleeve Injection and Interventional Radiology to a well-established base of patients and referrers.

 

About the role

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure, in particular assisting in the CT & MRI departments. Some of your many and varied duties will include:

  • Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures and patient transfers
  • Assisting the Technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients (intravenous cannulation) and patient process
  • Acting as a chaperone during Ultrasound examinations when required
  • Cleaning procedure rooms including change of linen
  • Stock control
  • Administrative duties such as transferring images, booking changes and calling patients

 

This role is Full Time, working 75 hours per fortnight. Your flexibility is key as start and finish times will be variable, operation hours are during and outside of standard business hours for some of our modalities such as MRI.

Although not essential, previous experience in a Medical Receptionist or similar role and an active interest in Medical Imaging will be highly regarded.

Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
