About the role
As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure, in particular assisting in our Nuclear Medicine department. The majority of your work will be clinical with a small amount of administrative duties. Some of your many and varied duties will include:
- Confirming patient appointments & any pre-appointment instructions via telephone
- Retrieving outside imaging studies
- Preparing patients for procedures
- Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures
- Assisting the technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients
- Stock control
- Cleaning and housekeeping duties
This position is Full Time – 75 hours per fortnight, worked Monday through Friday.
In addition, you will be required to participate in public holiday and weekend rosters, as well as be able to work at our other Nuclear Medicine departments at SKG Subiaco and SKG Genesis Care Murdoch, as needed.

Although not essential, qualifications in a relevant field i.e. Certificate III In Health Support Service, Health Services Assistance or equivalent is advantageous.
Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
