About the role

A Patient Accounts Officer works within our team of finance professionals to provide support to our patients and our teams across all branches with banking and billing queries as well as payments and processing of health fund, Medicare and other such claims.

Computer literacy and a pleasant & professional phone manner is crucial as you will be dealing with people over the telephone and via email.

This position is Full Time working week days from our Subiaco office which is located a convenient 2 minute walk from the Subi train station. A working from home arrangement of one day per week will be considered. This positon is being offered on a temporary basis for a period of up to 18 months due to movements in the team to cover a period of parental leave.

Candidate requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the health & medical field
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to converse with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
  • A warm and professional approach
  • Computer literacy
  • High level data entry skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
  • Certificate in Business Administration i.e. Accounts, Accounting and/or other relevant course desirable
