Our SKG GenesisCare joint venture site is based on the St John of God Murdoch Campus and provides high quality service in areas such as PET CT, SPECT CT and Theranostics to a wide variety of patients.

 

About the role

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure, in particular assisting in our Nuclear Medicine & PET CT departments. The majority of your work will be clinical with a small amount of administrative duties. Some of your many and varied duties will include:

  • Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures and patient transfers
  • Assisting the Technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients (intravenous cannulation) and patient process
  • Cleaning procedure rooms including change of linen
  • Stock control
  • Administrative duties as required

This role is Full Time, working 75 hours per fortnight. There may be weekend and public holiday work as part of this role.

  • A willingness to train in IV Cannulation

  • Physical fitness to perform a clinical focused hands-on role

Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role and an active interest in Medical Imaging will be highly regarded.

Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
