We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team on a FIFO 2:1 roster on an upcoming project. The Role

  • Implementing, maintaining, coordinating, and expediting the procurement and construction elements for the designated work area.
  • Provide direction and support to site team of engineers for the execution of the project.
  • Identifying and resolving technical engineering issues and associated problems which may arise throughout the duration of the project.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Creating work packs, test packs; estimation & site variations.
  • Presenting project progress updates to senior management and clients.
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs and analysing productivity factors against program and budget
  • Integrate the engineering team’s work with all other project departments (i.e., quality, commercial, HSE, supervision, employee relations and project controls).
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Contribute, as required, to the compilation of the project MDR and closeout of the project.

 

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in Mining Construction or Sustaining Capital Works – involving electrical and instrumentation installation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of governing standards in Mining Construction particularly Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant electrical safety standards, such as AS/NZS 3000 (Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules), is mandatory.
  • Excellent time management skills and a strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels. 
  • Proficiency in modelling and drawing software such as Naviswork Simulate, MS Project and/or Bluebeam.
  • Experienced in managing, raising, and responding to RFI’s and TQ’s.
  • Experienced in managing and developing QMP’s, ITP’s and FIC’s/ITR’s
