About the Project(s)
Our projects encompass a range of FIFO and DIDO construction activities, including structural, mechanical, and piping (SMP) delivery, electrical and instrumentation installations, non-process infrastructure, and asset management services.
The Role
- Collaborate with project and corporate leadership to ensure best practice health, safety and environmental performance is achieved and maintained on designated project(s).
- Liaise and communicate with client representatives as required to nurture a productive and cooperative working relationship.
- Undertake and participate in audits to ensure compliance with the project health, safety and environmental management plans and against SIMPEC's integrated management system.
- Perform governance activities and coaching to champion SIMPEC's Critical Risk Management Guidelines.
- Coach SIMPEC workers and leadership to excel in their approach to all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management.
- Champion SIMPEC's SIMSafe Culture Framework.
- Development and review of Safe Environmental Work Method Statements.
- Assist in the review of statistics and development of improvement strategies.
- Assess and control of operational risks and hazards.
- Conduct inductions and other HSE related training.
- Review and implement HSE plans to meet SIMPEC and contract requirements.
- Investigate and determine the root causes of incidents, hazards and other unsafe conditions on the job site and/or office.
About You
- Minimum of Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Experience within the resources sector
- Strong understanding of HSE legislations and compliance requirements
- High level of proficiency and expertise in utilising Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular)
- Excellent time management skills to achieve proficiency and effectiveness in managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Autonomously work within a collaborative team, be proactive and able to take initiative.
- Open to both DIDO & FIFO opportunities
Desirable
- Incident investigation methodology (e.g., ICAM or Taproot)
- Training and Assessing (TAE40116)
- Injury management experience and/or qualifications
- Auditing qualifications (e.g., Lead Auditor)
